My first day on core was really good. It is freeing not to have to calculate the points for everythig I eat. I have been looking up different core recipes and it is amazing what a variety of desserts, entrees etc.... can be made using core ingredients.
Here is the re-cap of what I ate today.
Breakfast:
steel cut oats with skim milk, slices strawberries and splenda
Snack:
nectarine
Lunch:
spicy cous cous, chicken breast, peas
Snack:
plum, apple
Dinner:
egg salad on weight watchers toast (1pt) with tomato and lettuce
strawberries and pineapple
Snack:
skim milk, popcorn

I am trying to wrap my head around core...
So you don't have to calculate and measure your food?
Are all core foods free to eat?
Can you eat other foods/treats?
basically you dont count points for any foods on the core list. You eat as much core food as you need to feel full (the key is to monitor yourself to prevent over eating)
Any food not on the core list must be measured and counted (like flex) and you get 35 weekly points as well as any AP earned for this non-core food.
So today I ate two pieces of weight watcher bread (not core) and the one point came out of my weekly 35.
Core IS cool in many ways. Sounds like you had a great first day! :)
